Review: Micralite Toro
Getting tired of seeing the same old luxury stroller systems every where you go? Do you want a stroller that is new and gives you that snob appeal for owning the newest set of baby wheels that hasn't overpopulated our streets? Then, the Micralite Toro could be the stroller for you!
Micralite, a UK based company that started with its award-winning Micralite Fastfold in 2003, has recently launched its next stroller, the Toro, to the dreamy land of luxury stroller systems.
The Micralite Toro is a luxury stroller system complete with a lightweight chassis, a toddler seat, and a fabulous bassinet. The stroller is available separately if you want to skip the bassinet. With its complete aluminum frame, the Toro weighs in at only 18 1/2 lbs, one of the lightest luxury strollers on the market. (The bassinet is an additional 10 lbs.) It has a unique one-handed fold that is not only fast and easy to do but leaves the stroller standing upright in a compact package when folded making it a great stroller choice for public transportation. The fold is great because unlike other luxury strollers, you don't to remove the seat to fold it. The patented "fastfold action" fold brings the front wheels tight to the frame so it's one of the tightest folds in its class.
The Toro sports a set of 12-inch air filled tires in back and a wide set of 5 1/2 inches swivel wheels in front. The front swivel wheels have the ability to lock straight and the back tires have a one-step, easy-to-apply braking bar that locks both wheels at the same time. The large rear tires and wide set front tires give the Toro amazing maneuverability. It tackles all different terrain, making playground mulch, grass and gravel no problem! This stroller basically glides along with little effort, turns on a dime and pushes with one hand easily.

One Stroller That Does It All!
For years now I have been a stroller stable kind of girl. I humbly accepted the fact that there was no one stroller that could truly do it all. Which is how my garage evolved into a stroller stable of sorts. There were the carseat friendly "systems", the mall cruisers and off road giants, the sleekly compact and impossibly lightweight city strollers for urban travel, the posh bassinet models for neighborhood strolls with an infant& Friends commented on my problem and I blithely explained to all that it was simply impossible for one stroller to do it ALL. How could a connosiour such as myself be expected to choose, to skimp, to limit myself to a single stroller that could hardly do all of what my many models could collectively do.
Well prove me wrong.
Id like to introduce you the the Micralite Toro. The stroller that really can do it all. If it made margaritas, I might even marry it.

Auction #3: Micralite Toro
Take a look at this beauty. A full-size stroller, with graceful lines, that weighs in at only 18 pounds. Say Hello to the Micralite Toro. And then open and close it over and over again in one quick move because it's so easy to do.
In fact the only thing easier than expanding and collapsing this bad boy, is reclining the seat at virtually any angle. And smoothly. So as not to disturb your sleeping baby. Grand! I adore this stroller. And so do my kids. The Toro is a new line from the UK that has only recently been available here in the U.S. Explore the demo to take a virtual test drive, and I know you'll fall in love with this stroller too.

Laila Dishes on her Favorite Baby Products
So what else is the 30-year-old boxer and American Gladiators co-host loving? Onesies by Ooh LaLa Mama, baby shoes by Pediped, bottles by BornFree and toys by Kushies, for starters. When little Curtis needs one of his (GDiapers or Seventh Generation) diapers changed, he'll be whisked off to the Jelly Baby Changing Mat by Kuster. If he grows tired of his Mutsy, he'll have back-up wheels in the Micralite Toro. And if Laila finds herself worrying about Curtis' carbon footprint, she'll consult Raising Baby Green, by Dr. Alan Green. Of the latter, Laila says, |

I See London, I See France
Steps aren't an issue for me, but of course, it was a new consideration with a 18 month old in tow. She would need a stroller, and it would have light enough to carry when needed, and need to fold up quickly and compactly. Lucky for me, I was aware of all of these things before I left and prepared accordingly.
We brought with us the Micralite Fastfold, a stroller that holds true to it's name -- it is small and light, and really does fold up quite quickly! It made our trip MUUUCCCHHHH easier, and we discussed several times how impossible it would have been had we been using another stroller. |

Micralite Toro
I am pretty impressed with the Micralite Toro stroller. There is a lot to love about it. First of all, it is so lightweight. I am not struggling to lift this stroller and the weight makes it easier to push. It only weighs 18 lbs, which is pretty good when you think that my son currently weighs over 30 lbs and I carry him all the time.
Secondly, this is by far the easiest stroller I have ever pushed! It goes in the direction that I desire and I don't ever have to struggle with it. I honestly feel like it is gliding to it's destination. The slim design made it great for a walk on our neighborhood's narrow side walks and it was incredibly easy to navigate through an over-crowded shopping mall. I like that I don't have to use any muscle to push the Micralite Toro along. It even pushes really well through the grass and up gravel covered hills. |
